County to Recognize Certified Green Businesses
(NAPA, Calif. - ) Seventeen Napa County businesses that have demonstrated their commit to environmental responsibility and green business practices will be honored by the Board of Supervisors at its regular meeting tomorrow, May 20. Board Chair Brad Wagenknecht will present proclamations to those businesses that have certification as a "Green Business" under the standards developed by the County, in conjunction with the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG). These businesses have not only achieved regulatory compliance, but have gone above and beyond in the areas of waste management, energy and water use reduction, and pollution prevention. The businesses on the list to be recognized include:
